Last month, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Bahrain broke off their diplomatic relations with Qatar and accused it of supporting terrorism. US intelligence officials told The Washington Post that last week, new information was revealed, claiming that senior-level officials in the UAE government planned to hack the Qatari News Agency a day before the story appeared. According to the officials, it is unclear whether the UAE performed the hack itself or whether the country paid a team of outside hackers. The country's embassy in the US denied the accusations.
