MANILA, Philippines -- President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday launched another profanity-laced attack against the European Union for supposedly lobbying for the Philippines' removal from the United Nations, this time, by asking the bloc's ambassadors here to leave the country in 24 hours.

Responding to Mr Duterte's comments, an EU spokesperson said in a statement: "The recent visit of the delegation of the 'International Delegates of the Progressive Alliance' to the Philippines on 8-9 October was not a 'European Union mission', as falsely reported by some media outlets," the EU said in a statement.
